Don’t Use ChatGPT Until You Read This

If you’re a regular reader of my content, you know I’ve been exploring and writing about generative AI platforms for over a year now here on Medium. From OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Grok, Google Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, to my current favorite, Microsoft Copilot — they each have their own strengths and weaknesses, with both free and paid versions available. I’ve been amazed by what they can — and sometimes can’t — do.

Recently, I wanted to create a list of all my Audible audiobooks, only to discover that Audible doesn’t offer an option to download a list of the audiobooks you own. So, I turned to a third-party tool called “OpenAudible,” which did produce a list, but required a payment to organize it for Excel. Instead, I copied all the raw data — over 100 titles — and pasted it into Microsoft Copilot’s “Notebook,” asking it to organize the information into an Excel spreadsheet for me. And just like magic, my entire Audible audiobook collection was neatly arranged by title, author, duration, purchase date, narrator, and more! AI gave me everything I needed, all for free. Thank you, AI!

But AI can sometimes surprise you in more ways than one, and that’s what this post is about. That’s why I urge you to read this before you use OpenAI’s ChatGPT!
